Friday's Favorite.....

Happy Friday everyone...Still Nasty and cold outside so todays Friday Favorite that I am going to share with you is my homemade veggie soup and triple rich chocolate cake both made in a crock pot..

The veggie soup is really simple and just tossed together..I use a large can of tomatoes sauce and a large can of diced tomatoes..Cut up my carrots and celery no onion cause I am allergic to onions but you could..Throw a can of corn and two cans of mixed veggies and use stir fry beef cubed up..Toss all together with seasoning of your choice, I use a lot... I use grarlic pepper, seasoning salt, beef cubes about 5, some celery salt and fill rest of crock pot with water and let go all day at least 6 hours..yummy and makes the large crock pot full...

My next yummy crock pot favorite is from the book 101 things to with a slow cooker..This book is a life saver...and since I am such a sweet lady I will share the recipe with you..It's called Triple Rich Chocolate cake.. Here we go

1 box of devil's food cake
4 eggs
1 cup of light sour cream
3\4 cup of vegetable oil
1 cup of water
1 (3oz) package of instant chocolate pudding
1 cup of chocolate chips

Combine all ingredients by hand in a 2quart mixing bowl..Pour batter into a greased 31/2 to 5 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat 5-6 hours or until done in center..Do not cook on high heat.. serves 8-10 It says its important to combine all ingredients by hand and not with a mixer..

and of course since I am taking the easy way for dinner why not some Rhodes frozen bread..You get three loafs and you just set out a loaf in the morning to rise and now fresh baked bread to go with the soup,,,yeah easy cooks in 20 min,,smells like you baked bread all day heheheh note mine is not risen all the way....

Good afternoon everyone...Today I was inspired by a favorite blog of mine Debbi over at http://hooksandyarns.blogspot.com/ She is such a sweet lady and she shared a video of her craft room.. LOVE IT... I have craft room but nothing like the decorating she has in hers.. OMG.. So today's Thursday thought is, I am thinking of spicing up my space.. I kind of have stuff in the basement and not fully all in my room... So yup its cold and crappy outside so what better day to turn my thought to my own space and it more welcoming.. I am posting pics of now pls forgive the mess...and any and all ideas or much appreciated...

The above pic is when you first walk into my room.. That desk hold my so loved sewing machine from my dearest grandma I loved so..

This above pic is my ever so boring desk.. I need to spice it up some.. and clean up lol

Next we have the dreaded closet.. ugh is all I can say... HELP!!!!

And last the task of having to fit this stash in my craft room... I would leave it in this room in the basement but my hubby's parents are not well and will be moving in shortly with us... My father in law is in the hospital with copd and upon his release we want them to come here... Many prayers for him please..

Wow It's been some time!

Hello everyone yes it has been some time since I have shared and posted with you...But I have been reading and keeping up with all of you...My little one who is 3 has been consuming must of my spare time and of course homeschooling my older son has been a challenge..  So finally today I am making time for me.. I am posting some things I have been quietly hooking on... Also going to go and soak up some Mr sunshine to... First up is some amazingly cute little back pack purses that I loved making for me and my Daughter...

These are so cute I love them.. I made them out of Lily sugar n creme yarn.. My new addiction I love these yarns... I sewed the lining in and added cute little button closures.. Here is my daughters...

Also I have completed

I love the new tp holder a lot better then sitting the tp on the window sill and the little q tip holder I adore of course the wash cloth just tops it all of..

Now I have to tell you about my new fond of baskets.. I recently read on a lot of blogs how everyone is keeping their wips in baskets,,, I love the idea.. so here is my basket of yummys...Did I tell you I love working with the Sugar n Creme yarn.. lol this is my stash of it... I am making a huge bright granny out of it...

Now time to go and soak up some sun have a bright cheery day everyone...

I need Help....Ideas......

Okay so I was down in my craft room thinking on how I really want to have a studio upstairs and found these handles  I bought like forever ago... omg these are great how could I ever forget about these... And then it hit me... I got them on clearance at Jo Ann Fabrics for 97 cents and after I got them home I could not find the perfect pattern or idea for them, so like many things it got forgotten about until just now... Then I was like I know my blogging family can help me they are full of great ideas and creativity.. So here I am begging you all for some ideas...Please Help.....

Recent projects and finds....

I have been away for a short time.. Yes I been quietly sitting and reading all the great blogs I follow.. It's like my daily newspaper for me.. What great things I have seen... Many more things added to my I wanna do list... I have also been researching ETSY and have an account from years ago and thinking if this is something I really want to do again, or do I just enjoy the part of giving little gifts... Still the decision is up in the air not sure.. What do you all think about it.. I think I will have a hard time parting with most my lovelies I make... This morning I had some errands to do, one of them dropping Debbi's square off at the post office I nearly forgot about it until I received her beautiful square a few days back along with some adorable buttons.. Thank you Debbi:)

I went to the craft show with my good friend a few weeks ago and look at what I found.. My hubby is a Lions and Red Wings fan so this was perfect coasters for him..

Also I made this great little doilie for our night stand

And this morning I worked up this cute little soap saver I think I am going to make another one for my moms Christmas basket..

So now it's back to do some more hooking... Take care everyone...

Using up my Stash:)

As you all have seen in my earlier post I have a lot of yarn.. A NICE BIG STASH. So I keep telling myself you really need to use up this yarn, I think I am having separation anxiety when I think about it. So as I was crocheting up my 6 inch granny square for a swap I'm doing with http://hooksandyarns.blogspot.com/   and I was thinking why not start another WIP, yes another one to add to my collection, and start making squares up to make a blanket or something.. So here is my start so far. The great thing about making the squares are I feel like I have accomplished something  though I do feel quilty when I see my other WIP under the end table calling out to me for some attention. Oh is the life of a crocheter hahahhah...
