Fall

Fall sure has arrived here in Michigan. My flowers have been bitten by the cold night frost. Soon that very cold stuff (snow) will be falling from the sky.. Ugh not ready for it.. For living in the north I sure do hate snow.. This summer has been so packed full of fun really hate to see it end. I am looking forward to the change of leaves and the smell of the Cider Mills.. We try to go every weekend to a different Cider Mill.. Though I have to say Yates is my favorite.. I walked around my yard this morning and snapped some pics of my flowers please excuse the weeds... I planted the morning glory's this summer.. They are beautiful...The bird bath was my grandfathers... He always made sure the birds had a clean bath and fresh water.. Bless his heart..

I have to admit I have fallin a little behind in my effort to crochet 100 scarves by Thanksgiving... So luckily with some help from my blogging friends and my mom I will still meet my goal... I will post pics soon of these.. So what have I been working on... I been crocheting these edges around these badges for the shelter to hand out..

I also have been making a few things for my Etsy Shop

Look What Came today....

Look what arrived today.....Five beautiful scarves from Patty http://www.blogger.com/profile/03953758102509632020  today.. I love the extra touches of them wrapped in the bows I am thinking that I might but little bows around mine also .... She also made this really beautiful tag that I will be putting in my scrapbook... Well done Patty I really love it. The shelter will be thrilled... Thank you again...

Life around the homestead has been very busy trying to fit the last minutes of summer in, and trying to fight the urge of wanting to decorate for fall with this cooler weather... I love love love fall colors though really gets me into the crocheting grove again... This leads to me thinking about Christmas yes I said it... heheheh....has anyone have anything started on their hooks for gifts yet?  If so Please share.. .Have a great weekend everyone....

Happy Monday

Good Monday morning everyone...Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine has been very busy, my oldest son and his girlfriend is visiting from Indiana and will be here til August 3rd so life in my crochet happiness is a little on the chaotic side..But it's nice to visit with him. We spent the weekend at the beach and the water park. Today is a lazy relax day, so I thought I would update you on my scarves, 9 done and one in progress on the hook.

I am so over joyed with the support I am receiving thank you all!! Big hugs to you..I also crocheted a doily for my bathroom,

 I was feeling a little blah when I was in the bathroom so off to Joanns fabric store and picked up some material and started sewing, which led to Targets to get a new curtain for the shower..

  Oh and this really cute Toilet paper holder I sewed up to..I did it in chocolate brown I think  I am trying to hurry Fall along..It's been very hot and humid here and I am ready for Fall.oh how I love nap time, little man is going to be four tomorrow so I am sure nap time will be coming to end soon....Well enough rambling on I hope you all have a great day...

Monday Morning

Good Monday Morning to you all..What did you do this weekend? Hope it was great..The only day I really enjoyed was Sunday, it was a girls day out with my Best Friend we had  a really nice day and followed it by a BBQ with my daughter and son in-law, then back over to Besties house to play some cards with her and her hubby...Fun Fun day... I did find some time to get back to my scarves I am on number eight now and this brings me to asking.... if any of you would like to donate hand knitted or crocheted scarves, hats or mittens I would be over joyed to accept them and donate them to the soup kitchen and of course they will know that there was many many people in blog land that has helped and donated their time and hearts...I have had few people ask and have given them my address.. The only thing I ask is please no money donations only items...I am really excited about helping This shelter/soup kitchen out,means a great deal to me and I am very passionate about it..So back to get hooky for now hope you all have a great Monday:)

Crocheting for a Charity

Well hello there! Yes it has been awhile since my last blog post.. I really do miss posting but it seems I spend more time reading everyone elses and never get a chance to sit down and write.. I just wanted to share with you my big plan for Thanksgiving Day. Yes I know it's a little ways away but as you have all seen from one of my post I have a huge yarn stash..And its only gotten bigger..I read many blogs of crocheters and knitters like Debbi over at http://hooksandyarns.blogspot.com/ donating blankets,scarves,hats and so many great things that I have to get involved.. My very energetic neighbor who is very active in many charities helps out twice a week at the http://cskdetroit.org/.. It's a local soup Kitchen here in Michigan.  They service about 200 families a day and have many great things available.. I hope you please take a minute to look.. On Thanksgiving day they pass out winter coats to the needy so I am going to get my stash taken down and crochet some scarves to be passed out with the jackets.. The Michigan winters can be very cold and long. My goal is 100.. I am on my 7th one.. Wish me luck as I so very much want to accomplish this goal if not more...I will keep you updated on my progress ...I wish I could crochet faster and add some more or even hats and mittens...so let the crashing of the stash carry on and the crochet hook get hooking...Have a great weekend every one..
